Queen Elizabeth National Park is a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with over 600 bird species recorded within its boundaries. Key birding areas include the Mweya Peninsula, Kazinga Channel, and Ishasha sector. Rare species such as the shoebill stork, African skimmer, and martial eagle can be spotted here.
The Ishasha sector of the park is famous for its population of tree-climbing lions. Visitors can embark on game drives in this area to try and catch a glimpse of these unique lions lounging in the branches of fig trees.
