Mt. Kenya is an extinct stratovolcano in Kenya, which the second largest Mountain in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro. The highest peaks of the Mountain are; Batian, Nelion, and Point Lenana, Other picks include; Krapf Rognon, Midget Pick, Terere & Sendeyo, Mugi Hills & Giants Billards and Nelion. The Kikuyu tribesmen regarded Mt. Kenya as home of their supreme being; Ngai who is addressed as Mwene Nyaga, Possesor of Brightnesss.
Mount Kenya is located inside The Mount Kenya National Park/Natural Forest which includes the Lewa Wildlife conservancy and Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve. The park has prestine wildeness, lakes, tarns, glaciers, peaks, forest, mineral springs, unique vegetation, rare and endangered wildlife species.
