Embu is located in the Eastern region of the country. The county's capital and largest town is Embu Town. It covers an area of approximately 2,555 square kilometers and has a population of over 600,000.Embu County is known for its rich agricultural activities, with coffee being one of its major cash crops. Other crops grown in the region include tea, bananas, and various vegetables. The county also has a significant livestock population.
In addition to agriculture, Embu County is also known for its scenic beauty, with attractions such as the Mount Kenya National Park, which lies partly within its borders, offering opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing.
