Kisumu is a town located in the north eastern shores of Lake Victoria the largest lake in Africa and second largest fresh water lake in the world. Kisumu is the third largest city in Kenya after the Capital Nairobi and Mombasa. Kisumu serves as a commercial, industrial and transportation center of the western Kenya. Kisumu is home to the Luo people and serves as the capital of Kisumu County. The most practiced economic activity is fishing.
Kisumu is regarded as an important link in the trade route between Lake Victoria and Mombasa because of its water and Rail connections. Kisumu has different tourist attractions such as;
