Angama Mara

Angama Mara is a tented luxury safari camp located in Kenya’s famous Masai Mara national reserve. The camp is positioned high above the floor of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, on top of the Oloololo escarpments overlooking the Masai Mara. The camp is located 262km from Nairobi which takes approximately 5 hours 23 minutes by road, 45 minutes to Kichwa Tembo the nearest airstrip by air from Wilson airport Nairobi and 30 min transfer to Angama Mara.

The camp has two separate identical camps each with its own guest area, the camps consist of 15 tented suites each. The tents stretch on the edge of Oloololo escarpments with each tent providing stunning breathtaking views of the Masai mara savannah plains as lovely as the next tent. The tented suites have a combination of modern comfort and classical African safaris architecture. The camp is not fenced and guest are advised not to walk unattended around the tents after sunset. Angama also has four lovely sole- use- tented safari camps suitable for families or a group of friends, the ensuite camps are located away from the other tents and can accommodate eight guests.

Angama mara offers a variety of facilities that are well designed to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The facilities include:

When guests are in the Angama Mara they can get to explore and experience the savannah. The camp offers diverse range of activities that cater different interests and preferences which include:
