Ilkelian Camp is a eco-friendly safari camp located in Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya offering a traditional safari style with a modern and fresh feel. The camp is situated on the Talek River and is 4km from the Talek Gate. Masai Mara is 250km from Nairobi, and driving time takes about 4 hours. Scheduled flights land either at Olkiombo, Mara North airstrip or Musiara airstrip. The closest airstrip is Olkiombo which is 25min away from the camp.
The camp has 17 tents all designed to combine the old traditional safari style with a modern style. Each tent is well-equipped with stylish, spacious, and comfortable attractive furnishes, an electronic safe, a verandah overlooking river Talek with a day bed and Canva safari chairs, an en-suite bathroom with flush toilets and hot water shower.
Meals are prepared by Ilkeliani’s camp chefs, offering hearty breakfasts, alfresco lunches and candlelight dinners in the mess tent. The camp also offers picnic breakfast/lunches depending on guest’s preference. A campfire is lit during the evenings and guest gather around to share their safari experiences with other fellow guests. There is a well-stocked bar in the camp where guests can enjoy a selection of Cocktails, alcoholic drinks, and wine.
