Located in Talek along the banks of River Talek is Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge Maasai Mara, a mid range accommodation in Masai Mara. River Talek is one of the tributaries of the Mara river, a famous crossing point for wildlife during the great migration.  

Location and how to get to Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge

The facility is approximately 10km from the Talek, Maasai Mara Gate, and 12km from Sekanani Sasai Mara Maina -gate. Administratively, the lodge is in Siana ward, Narok west sub-county in Narok County. From Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 250km taking 5-6 hours by road using a 4x4 off-road vehicle. Using air transport from Wilson airport, takes about 45-60 minutes landing at Ol Kiomba Airstrip followed with a brief transfer to camp.

The camp offer 51 accommodation units in accommodating 100 guests per night. The lodge features 36 cottages categorized in; 2 Family Rooms, 34 Superior Standard Rooms (Double, Single, or Twins). In addition, there is 11 Deluxe Luxury tents(Double/ Twin) and 4 Luxury Family tents. Each tent is built using natural materials of grass thatched roof that reflect traditional elegances.  All rooms feature; Balconies with a sitting area, bio-flush toilets, rainfall hot-showerhead, coffee/tea making facility, bathrobes, free toiletries, hair dryer & wooden floors.

• Superior standard rooms accommodate 2 guests in each and has 2 showers, one inside and the other in the open, with a wild view of spectacular Mara.
• The Deluxe rooms also have 2 showers, one internal land an open-air one. The indoor shower has a spacious bathtub, a waterfall shower and a bio-flush toilet.
• Family rooms have two sleeping areas accommodating 4 people. Each area featuring a double or a twin bed. There is a common sitting area, 2 showers, an indoor and outdoor open-air safari shower.

An onsite restaurant is available offering traditional African and British dishes that are professionally prepared by skilled chefs. A Bar and Lounge area create an elegant space amidst the wild beauty offering a selection of the finest liquor, beers, fine wines, cocktails and an intimate space for conversations. Also, there is a tree top bar parched among the ancient trees of Masai Mara as its name says and it only accommodates 10 guests. The tree top bar offers stunning views of the Mara plains and the meandering River Talek.
