Semadep Camp Mara

Semadep Camp Mara is a budget safari accommodation located in the Masai Mara, about a km from Masai Mara Reserve Sekenani Gate. Semadep is an acronym of ‘Sekenani Maasai Development Project’ A Maasai Village project designed to develop the Maasai COMMUNITY LIVING IN Sekenani area socially, economically and politically in a sustainable manner. Guest can access the camp by road or by air. From Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 250km, by road taking approximately 5-6 hours by road while by air takes 45minutes. After landing at Ol Kiombo Airstrip a short transfer to the camp which is 19.4km away.

The camp has 12 permanent tents, each with 2 or 3 single beds, mosquito nets, verandah with safari chairs and table, an en suite bathroom with flush toilet and shower. Guests can also pitch their tents at the camping ground in the camp, there are shared lavatory facilities.

Meals served at the camp are locally sourced and traditionally prepared for guests to enjoy in the dining tent. There is a fully stocked bar offering a variety of alcohol and soft drinks and guests may enjoy. There is also a shared kitchen equipped with dishwasher and a minibar. Security at the camp is 24/7 for your piece of mind.
