Samburu National Reserve is famous for its conservation efforts of vulnerable/endangered species. The reserve boasts its diverse range of wildlife including the “Samburu Five” Beisa oryx, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Gravy’s Zebra and others such as Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs. Samburu boast a vibrant bird life of 450 species recorded. Samburu reserve is bordered by the Ewaso Nyiro river which separates it from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Samburu is also home to the Samburu people who have a rich heritage culture.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1; Fly from Nairobi to Samburu
Our representative to pick you up at the Airport, Hotel or Address transferring you to Wilson Airport to catch your scheduled flight to Samburu. Enjoy the scenic views of Kenya from Landscapes, savannah plains, rivers to Mountainous peaks. Upon landing you will be met and transferred to your chosen Camp/ Lodge in Samburu. Check in Hotel, have lunch and relax at leisure. Start of your safari adventure with an afternoon game drive in pursuit of The Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo & Elephant), cheetah, Hyenas, Wild Dogs. In the evening as the sun sets in the West, return to your camp for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2; Spend Full Day in Samburu
This day will be dedicated for safari adventure, start of you day with an early morning game drive in search of the wild cats and other herbivores. Morning hours is the best for game viewing because most of the wild animals are active during this time with the sunrise adding on as a cherry on top of the cake. Return to your camp for breakfast then later on leave for an optional mid-morning game safari, a full day game drive leaving with packed lunch for picnic or relax at the Camp/lodge utilizing the facilities & services offered. You can also decide to have a cultural experience by visiting the Samburu people to learn and interact with them (At Extra Cost). Afternoon game drive giving you the opportunity to have a few sight visits such as visiting the Ewaso Nyiro river where you may witness Elephants bathing. After game drive return to the camp for dinner, campfire stories and Overnight at your lodge.
Day 3; Return to Nairobi
Being your last day, have an optional early morning game drive. After breakfast get to check out and have a short transfer to the nearest Airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi. Our representative to pick you up at Wilson Airport and transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Your Hotel or Address.
