The journey, step by step.
Day
1
Transfer; Nairobi-Shaba National park
Your safari begis with an early morning pick-up(typically 7AM) from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or the airport, followed by a scenic drive north through central Kenya. The landscape gradually changes as you pass Nanyuki and Isiolo, leading into the rugged terrain that defines Shaba.
Arrive at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time for check-in and lunch. The lodge’s riverside location allows you to observe wildlife directly from the property.
After a short rest, you will depart for an afternoon game drive(Around 3:30PM) in Shaba National Reserve. Expect sightings of elephants, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, and a variety of birdlife adapted to the semi-arid environment.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Morning & Afternoon Gamedrive
After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak. Shaba’s unique terrain and fewer visitor numbers provide a more secluded safari experience. Return to the lodge for lunch and leisure time. You may relax by the pool, enjoy the gardens, or take in river views from the lodge’s public areas. In the late afternoon, head out for another game drive, exploring different areas of the reserve as animals gather near water sources. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Departure; Shaba-Nairobi
Being your final safari day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast and later check out and begin the return drive to Nairobi. Arrive in the late afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
