LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK AND LAKE NAIVASHA DAY TRIP

Lake Nakuru is best known for the large groups of pink flamingos that can be found on its shores. Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha are excellent day trips as they are only 150/100km respectively from the capital Nairobi, and from Nakuru town CBD to Lake Nakuru gate is 2 km. The flamingos get their bright pink color because of the algae they eat from the lake’s waters. Lake Naivasha offers boat safaris and the opportunity to spot the fauna of the Crescent Island. Apart from the pink flamingos, you can spot four of the big five; Buffalo, Lion, Leopard & Rhino in Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru & Naivasha are excellent destinations for travelers to explore, especially if you are looking for a short stay when visiting Kenya.
