2 Days 3 Nights Malindi/ Watamu Detailed Itinerary
Uncover coastal magic in Malindi and Watamu with this curated itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival In Malindi/ Watamu
Depart Nairobi via the Madaraka Express aka SGR Train. Arrive at the Mombasa train station where you will be met for transfer by road to Malindi. Upon arrival check into your beach resort/ hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or get to unwind at the beach or hotel pool. In the Afternoon if time allows, you can opt to go out to relish a fresh seafood at a local eatery.
Day 2: Full Day in Watamu/ Malindi
After breakfast, embark on a day trip exploring the coastal. Opt to visit the stunning Watamu Marine Park, a haven for coral reefs, marine life and water activities. Also, visit the Gede Ruins, a 13th-century Swahili settlement village surrounded by lush forest. End with sunset views at Mida Creek. Afterwards return to your resort/ hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure
Relax by the beach or head out to the local shops for Curios, Souvenirs or spices at Malindi Town Market. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the Mombasa SGR station for your train.
